Back in the game, blogging-wise

Right, right, so I blinked and a million years went by. That's just what happens when you are a busy Star Goddess.

My band is working on getting off our proverbial asses and re-recording some tracks, as well as creating new ones.

We have new management, which will hopefully help things along.

My cat is bringing fish heads to bed, I have a new Galliano dress, the Christmas sparkle set from YSL, and things are looking up.

Keep looking up,

Rainy day...

It's a rainy day here in Tokyo today; I thought we'd seen the last of them, but after an uncomfortable nights' sleep due to the recent rise in temperature I'm actually a bit glad to feel the cool air.

As long as it isn't pouring I think I'm content.

Listening to Queen and planning my week; the band will be congregating this week to make our songs sound more professional, and then again to practice some new songs.

I need to sing with my head tilted down; my chin appears fat in pictures when I don't.

Hnn...

For some reason, my neck hurts. Hopefully this is a passing phase. Also my hip hurts because I tried to steam my shorts while wearing them. Not a good idea; damned Earth gadgets.

First show at Heaven's Door.

Aptly named, I suppose.

The sound system was utterly fantastic; I could actually hear myself as opposed to the usual cacaphony that results from the speakers in livehouses reserved for rock without a digital bass/background.

I was happy to see that the turnout was sizeable, until the band before us went up to play. Using well-placed random ass nonsensical noise, they managed to clear out more than half of the patrons.

I wish I knew their name so I could shake my fist at them.

Other than that little hiccup, it was an amazing show; one of our best.

I can't wait to play there again next month.

Back in Tokyo

Back in Tokyo, finally. I brought the rest of my stuff from LA with me; finally, next time I go back I can only bring a carry-on.

I'm absolutely through with having gigantic bruises on my knees because of hefting large suitcases. You hear me? Through.

Why hasn't someone invented teleportation yet?

Something to ponder.

A missed flight...

...culminated in me going to the Standard Downtown in LA and sunning myself in a pod bed on a rooftop. Not bad, I suppose, but inconvenient.

We have band practice tomorrow and I'll have to haul ass with all my luggage to the studio. Show's on Friday and I refuse to be unprepared!

Bah...what a hassle.

Never flying Korean Air again.

In LA once again.

Back 'home' for a day before the long flight to Tokyo. Why do planes here take so damned long?

It's not as if they are crossing galaxies or navigating parallel universes.

Pah.

New York City.

I am off to NYC in a few hours. At the moment I am staring blankly at my suitcase and wondering what to bring, but I'm sure that will pass.

A slight tinge of worry for the trip back to Tokyo on Sunday; there is a massive amount of luggage to bring back. It's the last of my stuff I've acquired in 22 years of life in Los Angeles/Earth.

It's mostly books. And I'll have to pay a huge fine. But I don't care. I want them.

I'm off to stare at my suitcase some more.

Don't people have employees who do this sort of thing for them? Actually pack; not stare listlessly.

I've been told...

...that I should create a blog. Well, here it is.

A star goddess stuck on Earth is not exactly something to brag about or publicize, but my band mates keep urging me to document our rise to fame? Fortune? Infamy? Hopefully one or all of the three.

Can't motivate anyone without a following, now can we?

I'm back visiting family and friends in Los Angeles during Golden Week. It has been good to see familiar faces, socialize, and eat bread for the first time in a while.

Tuesday I head off to New York City to do the same; then it's back to Tokyo on May 9th.

Today I was supposed to go to a day spa, but canceled and will lunch in Beverly Hills instead. It's been a while.

Hn...not much to write about for now, but rest assured there will be plenty more posts to come.

Bye for now, Earthlings.
